Natura 2000 & Appropriate Assessment
Special Ecological Assessments and environmental evaluations for projects within or near protected Natura 2000 areas.

The protected areas of the Natura 2000 Network are a key element of European biodiversity-conservation policy and require specialised scientific assessment during the design and permitting of projects and developments.
CEEC provides specialised services assessing the potential impacts of projects and plans on Natura 2000 sites, preparing Special Ecological Assessments (ΜΕΟΑ) in line with the requirements of European and Cypriot environmental legislation.
ΜΕΟΑ studies are based on the scientific assessment of the site's characteristics, its protected habitats and species, and the estimation of potential impacts that a project may have on the conservation objectives of the affected area. The aim is the early identification of potential risks and the design of appropriate avoidance, prevention and mitigation measures.
CEEC has a strong network of specialist associates, including biologists, ornithologists, surveying engineers, GIS specialists and other scientists, enabling the comprehensive handling of complex ecological requirements.
Through this interdisciplinary approach, CEEC supports project development with respect for natural ecosystems, safeguarding biodiversity and ensuring compliance with the applicable environmental framework.
